Fire and Rescue NSW is one of the world’s largest urban fire and rescue services.
They have been a fixture at the Sydney Royal Easter Show for many years and their aim is to promote and educate on fire safety with their prevent, prepare, protect motto.
Kids get to have a go in the fire trucks and learn all about what the fire and rescue teams do.
Here are some safety tips below!
Make sure to change your smoke alarms and keep fire hazards under control.
Bush fire preparation is very important. Keep cleaning out your gutters and keep branches away from power lines!
Fire and Rescue have a cool catch phrase, “keep looking while cooking”. When working with heat it is important to pay close attention. It is also important to protect your hands when barbecuing or cooking with open flames.
