Meet the Team

Please meet the 2026 Show Radio Team who are currently completing a Graduate Diploma in Radio and Podcasting at the Australian Film Television and Radio School.

Amber Scates

Show Radio 2026

As a performer I have spent most of my career being heightened versions of myself, but in the past year I felt a pull to bring my everyday self to the front, and expand my career to utilize my skills and personality in more ways. I have always loved using my voice, connecting with people, improvising, working with tech, and the thrill of being live. The radio and podcasting industry scratches that itch, and I am eager to delve deep and learn!

Bradley Buckland

Show Radio 2026

This is the industry I want to start and build a career in. The possibilities are endless and really excite me. Working in an industry that is fulfilling and is something that I have a major interest in is so important to me so having a passion for this is my driving force. I would love to be either in commercial radio in either a host or producer role, alternatively working on a podcast as a host or producer. Or maybe even both.

Felicity Weaver

Show Radio 2026

Having come from film and television I love the speed and depth you can tell a story with audio, it's immersive and it's intimate. I want to increase my current skills and knowledge of audio making. I'd like to make engaging and eye-opening narrative audio stories..... unless of course I love the exhilaration of live radio.

Juliet Ardolino

Show Radio 2026

I love telling stories, connecting with people, and learning how to communicate ideas in a way that feels engaging, human, and real. Once I finish this course, I hope to use the skills I’ve learned to start my own podcasting business. My goal is to produce and develop podcasts both for myself and for other people, particularly in areas I’m passionate about such as technology, medicine, and thoughtful conversations about modern life. I’d like to help individuals and organisations turn their ideas into high quality podcasts by supporting them with concept development, production, interviewing, and storytelling.

Leisa Reichlet

Show Radio 2026

I love the feeling I get when I'm listening to or making a podcast. I wanted to be able to make more and better audio experiences myself. I'd love to freelance as a podcast producer or editor. Although I'm open to being swept up by the world of radio.

Lindsey Vassallo

Show Radio 2026

After 2 years of community radio work, it felt apt to take a step forward into flourishing my creative interests within sound. I aim to enter the audio industry with ideas in my mind, confidence in my heart and a smile on my face!

Madeleine Adams

Show Radio 2026

I'm an avid podcast listener and want to be an audio journalist and teller of important stories. I'd like to learn about the discipline of audio (the technical stuff as well as the creative side) and what it takes to make it in the industry.

Tom Semple

Show Radio 2026

I developed an interest in radio while studying a degree in journalism in Christchurch, when we had to do news bulletins for a local radio station. I think I worked out that I wasn't all that interested in pursuing a career in journalism, but ended up doing a weekly show for the local radio station talking about music and film.

Ethan Wright

Show Radio 2026

I’m currently working in the radio industry, getting hands-on experience across promotions, social media, and live broadcasts. I love creating content that connects with people and keeps them entertained. I’m working towards building a long-term career in radio, with the goal of growing into a presenter and developing my own voice in the industry.

Dania Jordan Miranda

Show Radio 2026

News, music, and storytelling have always been at the center of my life. I have a passion for politics, public opinion, journalism, writing, and audio. I believe that clear communication can be powerful— especially when breaking down complex issues for diverse audiences. Now, through radio and podcasting, I’m building the audio skills to tell the stories I care about most. As an Australian citizen born in Colombia, I believe that Australians from diverse backgrounds, can share stories from diverse points of view. Adding a richer perspective to the stories that have an impact in Australia and the world. I’d love to work with a broadcaster like SBS and help amplify the voices of migrant communities across Australia.

James Alderton

Show Radio 2026

After five years working across journalism, television production and editorial, I’ve discovered that storytelling is what truly drives me. Paired with my love of performing and connecting with audiences, I’m now making the move into audio, where stories feel immediate, intimate and alive.

Jac Hope

Show Radio 2026

I love audio storytelling, both fiction and non-fiction and I believe audio is a very accessible way to tell a broad range of stories. I want to work with others, especially those from marginalised communities to facilitate the telling of their stories.

Tommy Holt

Show Radio 2026

I believe audio is the most powerful way to tell an engaging story. There's something about voice and sound that draws people in and holds them there. I've narrated audiobooks, which deepened my love of performance and the craft of making words come alive. Now I'm looking to move into the world of radio and audio in a more meaningful way, creating stories that resonate and are truly worth listening to.
