‘The Stables’ was transformed for the 2017 Sydney Royal Easter Show and is one of the most popular area’s for adults enjoying the show. The area which was once used a the home place of RM Williams, the ‘Grain Display’ and the Clydesdale Horses is now a luxurious place for adults to wine and dine.
It was so successful in it’s first year that it was entered in the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attraction’s ‘Best New Innovation in Food and Beverage For Attendance Under One-Million People’. This saw ‘The Stables’ compete against the likes of Disney and Universal but The Sydney Royal Easter Show Attraction won the category. Read more about the Award here.
Lu on Mornings spoke to The Senior Manager, Operations and Product Developer of The Sydney Royal Easter Show, Shane McGrath about ‘The Stables’ and the new area they have introduced this year, Mr Alloo’s Night Noodle Market.
This year ‘The Stables’ featured easy places to eat for everyone including, Pablito’s (Mexican), Burger Head, Gelato Fresco, Donut Stop and the Milk Bar. Lu even found a few vegetarian options including this ‘Mike Tyson’ Burger from ‘Burger Head’ and enjoyed her meal next to ‘The Stables’ in the grass picnic area.
Alternatively, you can live the high life sipping on wines at the Bar and feasting at the upstairs restaurant, ‘The Loft’. Both showcase award winning produce and wine from the show on display with an Italian twist.
