A Cheap Feed Making a Big Difference

Here at the Sydney Royal Easter Show, you come in knowing that you’re likely going to be hurting your hip pocket a bit.. but it’s always worth it. However there are options that may hurt a little less! In fact it’s helpful in more ways than just saving you money. It goes to a great cause.

The Big Bush BBQ is hosted at the show by Regional Agricultural Groups over the 12 days of the show! Each day a different group hosts it and puts on a big sausage sizzle for everyone, you pay $5, get a sausage sizzle and a bottle of water!  (it’s placed conveniently close to the Show Radio broadcast so it’s fuelled a lot of our shows!)

Karl from Show Radio spoke to Lyndsay from the Eurobodalla Agricultural Show who were hosting the day of the interview and he told us about how that money goes to good use! For their group the money raised on their day of the BBQ is going to be spent on the Kids Zone at their next years show! So the lunch that Karl went and bought after the interview went towards the kids having more fun at Eurobodalla’s next Agricultural Show which is so cool!

It’s now a permanent staple at the show so if you didn’t get a chance to go this year, be sure to grab a sausage sizzle from there next year and help different rural agricultural groups! You can listen to the full interview by Karl here:
