Have you ever made a cake at home and thought….”well it doesn’t have to look good, it just has to taste good” – knowing full well it looks like it was made blind folded? yeah – me too.
I am a shocker when it comes to baking, I think I am pretty impressive when I whack on some canned whip cream and strawberries to my cakes… so when I walked through the Fashion and Art pavilion at the Sydney Royal Easter Show, I had to know. How on earth do they decorate these cakes making them like they had just come out of painted art work or movie?
I had to find someone who created one of these cakes and ask the big question: HOW?!
To my curiosity and heavy Facebook investigating I found Tracey Wilson who entered and won 1st and 2nd in the cake decorating competition this year at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
If you want to be thrown a curve ball on how long it takes and what goes into creating these master cakes?
