Dog Pavilion: Our Top 5 Dog Breeds

There are so many breeds of dogs, and here at the Sydney Royal Easter Show there is no difference. At this year’s ADVANCE Sydney Royal Dog Show there’s way too many breeds to mention, so here is our top 5 favourite breeds.

5: German Shepherd

The German Shepherd is always a favourite, a very iconic breed, who are very friendly towards children and love a pat. Often seen as working dogs, and quite popular in the police.

4. Collie

Another iconic breed, when we think of the Collie we first think of Lassie. They are very sensitive breed and are very aware of their owner’s feelings and mood.

3. Golden Retriever

The Golden Retriever is a British breed of retriever dog of medium size. It is characterised by a gentle and affectionate.

2. French Bulldog

Who doesn’t love this breed. Very strong, fast and snort quite a lot. Although, they do have quite a lot of health issues, from arthritis to breathing issues.

1. Basenji

The Basenji is one of the least known breeds, the main reason why we picked it. They’re an African hunting dog, that is very friendly, very active and yodels instead of barks. Check out this video to have a listen.
