Forget your yoga challenges, sourdough making and Netflix watching, the hottest new social isolation trend is Bin Isolation Outings!
Don a costume and take your bins out, it’s as simple as that. What started as a way for a neighbourhood in Southern Queensland’s Hervey Bay to have a make a mundane task more exciting has now blown up and is well on the way to becoming a worldwide sensation. With humble beginnings as a small Facebook group, Bin Isolation Outing has now expanded to have well over 280K followers from all around the world. Some of the costumes we’ve seen include tutus, tiaras, ghosts and Frozen characters. The group’s mission is simple, “the bin is going out more than we are so let’s make an occasion of it!”
AFTRS Radio student Haylee was dying to get in on the fun, and luckily her bin day is Sunday night. She donned a home crafted tinsel ensemble and took a short stroll down the driveway, gaining giggles from neighbours and dog walkers in the area.
Laughter is the best medicine, so make yourself feel better and take yourself on a bin date. Get the job done in style.
