The Panebianco family’s origin can be traced back to Sicily. During the 1950s, John migrated to Australia with his family. His passion for creating a piece of the country inspired him to open his own business. In 1982, he and his brother opened Leichhardt’s first gelato shop. The establishment, which is located on Norton St., uses only the finest Italian ingredients to make its delicious gelato.
Aside from being passionate about the food industry, John also pursued his passion for hospitality by opening a restaurant in 1995. The Onion Tree was a wood-fired pizza establishment located in Brighton-Le-Sands.
After the restaurant was transformed into a more modern establishment, John decided to reopen it as the Gecko Restaurant in 2004. He was still passionate about serving the best Italian food.
The Panebianco family then introduced their own restaurant, Bianco Kitchen. This establishment focuses on providing fresh and innovative Italian cuisine. It offers a wide range of food products such as gelato, pasta dishes, and pizza.
The Bianco Kitchen offers a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces that are ideal for informal gatherings, post-work socializing, and more. Its cafe-style interior and food offerings are made with top-quality ingredients.
The Bianco Kitchen features a cafe-like atmosphere and top-quality food at affordable prices.
It’s been a journey for the Panebianco family and it’s been a honour to enjoy their traditional Italian food at the Easter Show. Brought me back in time with my Nonna and Nonno.
