This 4 day weekend would usually be spent out and about. The youngens head out for a four day bender and the mature folk head out camping or to big family gatherings.
With the world in lockdown – this may be the first Easter for most people where they’re required by law to stay home. So how do we handle this bizarre but very necessary restriction on our usually free lives.
Below I’ve listed a few ways to stay sane this stay-cation:
- Practice gratitude – Identify things in your life that you are fortunate to have. It could be something as simple as toilet paper and food in the fridge.
- Embrace the simple – Find the calm that lies in simple things like reading a book. Another way of looking at it is reducing your brain power to a sort of hibernation – so you don’t need so much stimulation.
- Move yo body! We don’t always need a fancy gym to get the physical exercise required daily. Run on the spot. Squat on the spot. Do push ups. Even if you do 10 of each you will notice a difference in your state of being.
There are endless way to have a pleasant stay-cation this long weekend. Have a google search and find the guidance that works for you.
Happy Easter!
