Well, I don’t know about you but when I think about the Sydney Royal Easter Show foods I think about corn.
Corn, where do I start and where can I finish. I know what you’re thinking… ‘Charlie what is this obsession with the corn?’ and I’m here to tell you I don’t know, but all I know is that corn will always be one of my favourite Show foods. If your answer to ‘What’s your favourite Show food?’ is anything but corn I instantly do not trust you. There’s just something about holding a corn on a stick in your hands that was just dipped in pure butter right in front of you that gives the feeling of nostalgia.
Also, fun-fact about corn – you can’t digest it properly, I found that out today and I’m kind of confused about it.
I made it my mission on my first day at the Show to find the corn stand and I successfully found it late on Thursday afternoon, Nel invited me back into the studio to ask about the corn and on-air together we had a taste test and I’m happy to say the corn holds up.
