Almost as common as a Dagwood Dog in hand, Akubra’s are a-top almost every head. It is the fashion statement of The Sydney Royal Easter Show this year.
It’s no lie that the Show Radio team was hit with a little FOMO when they turned up with no hat on. So, naturally members just went to a regular retail store and bought any old hat. Nat from the Show Radio team, however, was keener to get her hands on a legit Akubra.
During the Breakfast show last week, Lachie and Mel sent field reporter Helena out to an Akubra stand to help Nat find the Akubra of her dreams, with a twist. Nat had no say, and Helena chose which hat Nat ended up with.
