ANZAC Day Activities You Can Do From Your Home

As you know, ANZAC Day services and public festivities have been cancelled this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. It’s an understandable cancellation but it doesn’t mean that we can’t celebrate from our own homes.

The Return Services League are recommending a few ways that you can get involved in ANZAC day from the comfort of your own home.

  • Social Media: Record yourself and your family reciting The Ode and post it to social media prior to April 25th as a sign of your support. The RSL is also suggesting using #ANZACSpirit and #LightUpTheDawn for any ANZAC Day social posts. This will create a place to
  • Driveway Dawn Service: At 5.55am on April 25th stand out on your driveway or balcony for a moment of quiet contemplation and remembrance. Musician James Morrison is also urging musicians to take to their front yards to play the last post at the same time.
  • Monetary Donations: Fundraising is down significantly this year, so spare what you can, if you can.
