Times are tough for businesses during the COVID-19 social isolation period, but regional businesses are getting creative to make their trade profitable during this time.

Some of the ways that people are changing up the way they trade is incredible. From dance schools offering classes online, to real estate agents and car yards offering virtual tours of homes and cars, there’s even a restaurant in Wagga Wagga cooking meals for people from their driveway.

But one of the pubs in Wagga has teamed up with two other local businesses to sell something from their bottle shop that they’ve never stocked before. The Union Club Hotel is now supplying bread and milk in their bottle-O!

They’ve collaborated with Melba’s Bakehouse to supply the bread and the milk is Riverina Fresh Milk. You’d never think to go to the pub to pick up your basics but it makes sense to have another place to pick up small groceries while the supermarkets are run off their feet.

The greatest part about this is that when everything finally returns to normal and you need buy some some milk and bread, you now have a great excuse to head down to the pub to have a few responsible beverages AND get your basic needs at the same time.
