One of the highlights of any show for me is the food – how often can you say you’ll have a stick of bacon for lunch? Well the Sydney Royal Easter Show is no exception with an amazing range of eats to keep you going throughout the day.
Here is my TOP FIVE eats of the Sydney Royal Easter Show:
Bacon Head
Where: The Truck Stop
When: Daily
You don’t need the roll and the egg when you can get bacon on a stick. Deep fried to crispy perfection by the boys behind Burger Head, the brand new Bacon Head makes all of your bacon dreams come true. Not enough? You can also get your bacon on a stick, in a bucket, smothered in cheese!
The Schnitzel Theatre
Where: GIANTS Stadium
When: Daily
You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll feel full when you experience Schnitzenstein! The Schnitzel Theatre presents a monster of a schnity that will have you begging for mercy.
Wally’s
Where: GIANTS Stadium and Orana Parade
When: Daily
A hot dog from Wally’s is more than just a hot dog… it’s a masterpiece of premium meat, special cheese blends, house made coleslaw or chilli sauce, add some onions, spices and toppings of your choosing.
Birdman
Where: The Truck Stop
When: Daily
Kimchi bbq sauce, sriracha slaw and steamed milk buns can only add up to fried chicken, Korean style. Add in some Korean rice cakes, fried drumettes and hot spicy glaze, popcorn chicken and salty fries for a guaranteed tender, crispy taste sensation.
Wafflepopz
Where: The Truck Stop
When: Daily
Traditionally a dessert favourite from Belgium or France, this year waffles will be your favourite – on a stick and smothered in your choices of cream, ice cream, chocolate sauce, strawberries, bananas, hundreds & thousands and nuts… or you could play it safe with maple syrup and icing sugar.
I hope to see you down there! Bon Appétit
