Gardening may be seen by some as a leisurely paced activity. Whilst this may be true for certain gardeners, yesterday we saw the faster side of flowers at the Flower & Garden Show. The Four Day Floral Display competition was on! In this competition, entrants have a mere 3 hours to construct a floral display from a surprise array of flowers and horticultural pieces. They then need to construct their display within a set small space, which also needs to meet the set theme. This year, Mrs Mary Fairlie-Cuninghame took out the prize with their floral display (pictured above).
On Show Radio, we were lucky enough to catch one of the horticultural councillors at the Flower & Garden Show, Kerry Little. Catch up on our chat about this fast paced competition, its challenges and what her tips for entrants are below!
