There are two types of people in this world, the ones who have meticulously reserved their chocolate and plan to savour it over the following weeks or the ones who by 5pm on Easter Sunday are surrounded by tinfoil wrappers with bellies full of their entire Easter haul.
Either way, everyone loves chocolate and wants it to taste the best right? Well, according to research, there are ways that you can heighten the taste of your chocolate, taking it from great to glorious.
Chocolate not CHOC
If you’ve ever tried a new chocolate and its fallen short, there’s a good chance it falls in the CHOC category. Legally, the name chocolate can’t be applied unless there is the presence of quality cacao beans, so if you see CHOC instead of chocolate, it’s not the real deal.
Room Temperature
This one’s a bit controversial, however extremely necessary to set straight. Whether or not you keep your chocolate in the fridge or the pantry, before eating, in order to achieve the best possible flavour, the chocolate should be at room temperature.
Clean Palette
Seems pretty obvious, but if you’ve ever bitten into a piece of chocolate post chewing gum or a heavy meal, you’d understand. Keep your palette nice and clean before indulging and your tastebuds will thank you for it.
Add Salt
This one is an absolute game changer. If you want to take your chocolate to the next level faster than you can say “white chocolate isn’t really chocolate.” Take less than a pinch of salt and sprinkle it on top of your chocolate of choice and enjoy the mind-blowing fusion of sweet and salty goodness.
