On Show Radio Special Edition today Rob Nice gave us his top five tips for staying sane in your own home.
5. Houseparty
Houseparty is an app for your phone that you can use to chat with your mates at any time. All you do is pop onto the app and you can jump into any conversations your friends are a part of. It’s a great way to stay in touch with people when you can’t meet up with them in person.
4. Podcasts
Podcasts are a great way to pass time, or keep your ears engaged while you’re doing other things around the house. There are so many to choose from so you can pick ones that interest you on a topic you love, or choose something you’ve never heard of and learn something new.
3. Learn an instrument
Use this time to build up some musical skills! It’s the perfect way to keep engaged and learn a new hobby, and so much fun to do. You can jam out with your friends when you see them again, or start a band online.
2. Baking
Cooking products are flying off the shelves because so many people are realising how wonderful baking is to pass the time while you’re stuck at home. It’s easy, fun, and to top it off you get to eat the results
1. Watch that show or movie on your ‘To Watch’ list
This one may seem a little obvious, but take that extra time you have at home to finally get around to watching that one movie or show that you’ve been recommended a hundred times but haven’t gotten around to. It’s so tempting to want to come out of this having used all your spare time to work out or learn a bunch of new skills, but remember that it’s okay to just take some time for yourself, be compassionate, chill out, and binge a bit of tv.
Those are Rob’s top tips for being stuck at home. Have you tried any of these? Or do you have a few to add? Let us know in the comments below!
