Announcer Tom Denham went down to the Lifestyle Pavilion to have a chat with Con, the President of the Avicultural Society of NSW Inc.
At their stand, we met a bunch of feathered friends including a macaw and a cockatoo.
Their main purpose this year at the Sydney Royal Easter Show was to spread awareness on the importance of re-population and conservation of birds across New South Wales.
This has been particularly highlighted for bushfire affected areas and bringing them back to normality.
In doing this, the society are selling small and large birdboxes which show-goers can purchase for their own property, with the hope that this will help preserve a safe home for birds.
