When it comes to home-grown Australian talent, Missy Lancaster is a force to be reckoned with. Born and raised in Picton, a country township in Wollondilly, this young woman at only 26 years of age, holds the title for the ARIA #1 Country Album.
Not even the perils of 2020 were able to stop Missy as she was bestowed the honour of a nomination for a Golden Guitar award alongside, Casey Barnes for Best Vocal Collaboration, for their song No Other You.
In recent times, Missy joined forces with three female country music artists (who also happened to be some of her best friends!) to create the new all-girl group, SouthBound and then if that wasn’t enough, Missy and the girls, toured with Shannon Noll across the country with more shows planned for the end of this year.
Talk about #GirlPowerGoals.. she is one busy lady! So, for Missy to take the time to chat with Megan from Show Radio was a huge honour.. Megan even ran Missy through her paces by playing a speed round of ‘Missy Minute: Easter Show Edition!’.
Missy spoke candidly about finally being able to jam on stage with her best friends again and what a joy it has been touring with Nollsie as well as the immense impact that COVID-19 pandemic has had on the Country Music Industry.
