Front & Centre: What It’s Like To Be In A Parade

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be in the Sydney Royal Easter Show Parade? I know I have!

Throughout my years, I have seen a few parades. I visited the Canberra show many years ago and most recently I was at Madi Gras in Sydney. But I have never actually been in a parade so when the opportunity arose, I jumped at it!

I’ve never seen anything like the Nickelodeon Street Parade at the Sydney Royal Easter Show. I was a huge Nickelodeon fan growing up and being able to see everyone from SpongeBob SquarePants to Dora The Explorer to The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was absolutely surreal – it made me feel like a kid again.

Paw Patrol also joins the crew as well as the Crazy Nickelodeon Scientist. Watch out though because you might just get slimed!

That’s not all though, your Nickelodeon favourites are joined by a team of dancers with some of the best moves of the 21st century and there are even mechatronic elephants!

The Nickelodeon Street Parade is amazing and to be a part of it, is truly something else! Thanks to 10 SHAKE, we were in the very first float to lead the pack around Sydney Showgrounds and through GIANTS Stadium. Listen below!

The Nickelodeon Street Parade happens daily at 11:30am, 1:30pm, 4:30pm and 6:30pm – do not miss it!

Thanks again to 10 Shake and make sure you checkout behind the scenes shots and plenty more content from the Sydney Royal Easter Show on Facebook @ShowRadio1079 & Instagram @aftrsradio.
