In the unusual time of a global pandemic we have seen many artists cancel or postpone tours and gigs. Many festivals including big ones like Blues fest and Splendour in the Grass have been forced to look into other options, but this unfortunate change in nature around the world has hit harder to no one more than an up and coming band called ‘Little Quirks’.
Speaking to Abbey from the band today she revealed that they had their first headline tour to the UK cancelled. To make things worse for the girls it was their FIRST EVER international tour and to have such a awesome thing taken away from them so young would put a sadness to any young person.
“We’re pretty crushed… we were headlining the whole thing and playing some festivals so were very upset that it all got postponed.”
BUT! There’s always a silver lining with Abbey confirming that the band will tour this time next year, so sit tight fans they are coming!
Abbey also confirmed theyAbbey also confirmed they have already started creating some new music! “we’ve already started writing new music and hopefully a new EP out this year.”
I also asked Abbey about their newest record “Cover My Eyes” and the title track of the same name, she said she wrote is in her room one afternoon.
“It’s about just jumping to things without other thinking, so I guess it does have links to metal health some people have interpreted that way.”
An appropriate song for this current climate that’s for sure.
