I set my sights on the Woolworths Fresh Food Dome for Day one of The Sydney Royal Easter Show and it was a plethora for all of the senses. But when that waft of a freshly cooked jam filled donut hits you, it smacks you in the face in the most delightful way possible….and when my nose found the source of the smell it lead me to Berliner Bakery.
Serving up decadent donuts and treats, but when I caught a moment to chat with Vance, owner in chief, he shared with me that he will be launching the world’s first water neutral and carbon neutral donut, in collaboration with Half-Cut, an environment charity that is committed to rebuilding the Daintree Rainforest.
Every four donuts sold, $1 will go directly to planting a tree in the Daintree Rainforest. Amazing!
